  1. I figured it out...Had to use laptop connected to NVR via Internet Explorer
  2. HIKVISION DS-7608NI-K2/8P NVR . Her's the problem..I have VGA connection to HDTV(1080p) and camera video is there and mouse works fine. The HDMI to this TV will not display picture at all even at the lowest resolution even after I manually change and apply the setting from VGA to HDMI, the NVR changes itself back to VGA and all works fine! However I am trying to connect this NVR to a new 4K HD monitor and eliminate the TV...So, I hook up the HDMI to the monitor and no matter what setting I try, The TV is the MAIN and I can't get the mouse cursor to show on the aux monitor screen in 4K setting, it wiil work lowering the resolution to 1980 but then the MENU to control the NVR's settings/playback disappears! Frustrating. I get no mouse cursor on monitor when just the monitor is hooked up to NVR by HDMI , all resolutions tried. In a nutshell the TV wants to be the main output by VGA and I cannot control the NVR on the monitor even hooked up standalone HDMI.
  3. Why use 4mp or 5mp or 8mp ultra hd 4k camera's when any tv or monitor can't display that resolution...only 1080..? What do the friggin casino's use?
  4. Thanks, I was able to use PC. I found the configuration section where I was able to undo what was done. System rebooted, back to normal.... Oh, dunno what that software link is you have there, it comes up as a non-existent URL...404 page not found ...peace
  5. Hi all, got myself into a pickle here. I changed Hikvision NVR resolution to max 4K and also changed output fro VGA to HDMI...system rebooted. Upon startup there is no HDMI output received by monitor (black screen) and the VGA output does show camera feed like before. However I cannot change anything back as the mouse doesn't show the cursor on the screen anymore. It is lit up red so I know it is connected and did try another mouse to verify. I tried to change resolution back through laptop Hikvision CMS Client software but that function isn't there. Since I am still getting VGA signal but no system control with mouse now, I am thinking the monitor can't handle the higher resolution setting and locked up in VGA? And now I simply need to spend a small fortune on a 4K monitor? Is there a way to hard reset this NVR without the use of a video screen and mouse or am I screwed?
