  1. I am trying to just monitor the output from a single cam, but the software keeps flipping back to the 16x view without any user input. Anyone know why or how to fix this?

I have a Geo 1480 running great on a Gigabyte GA-P35 with 2 gigs or ram and an Intel 2.2 Ghz Core 2 Duo with a Asus EAH 3450 Radeon video card. Everything installed fine and seems to be working great. Also this system was not very expensive and runs cool and stable.
  3. As I said in my previous thread I was looking at ILDVR cards. But after reading some threads on this forum I am not so sure. Am I to understand that ILDVR cards (from Bernclaire) are just Hikvision cards with their own software? And there are other companys that sell these same cards with other or better software? Who is a good vendor/developer of a hikvision package? What I am looking for is 10 (a 16 channel card for additional cameras in the future) channels at least 25 FPS in a decent resolution for under $900. Is this possible? How do these cards stack up against the avermedia or geovision cards will they suit me better? I am also looking into cameras and baluns, but I will respectfully post my questions for those items in the proper forums.
  4. Look like I was wrong, the price quoted was for a complete DVR- Just the card is $863 USD. Not bad- It looks like I am going to get one. I like the idea of hardware encoded h.264, but the GeoVision seems to be pretty much the bog standard with lots of support- Does anyone have any experience with ILDVR? Are they decent cards? (This is my first CCTV system, and I am trying to do it right the first time) I just slapped together a Core 2 Duo, 2 Gigs of ram, 500gb HD- It is Intel based (Not VIA or SIS) P35 and I picked up an ATI card for video. Hoping everything is compatible here....
  5. I recently got a quote from Bernclare on the 8 and 16 channel DVR cards and they are a bit out my price range. So now I am back to looking at Geovision cards. Where can I find a respectable vendor with Geovision cards with competitive prices? Are there any other vendors for ILDVR cards + software besides Bernclare that I can get a quote from?
