  1. I have Swann bnc cameras right now in a vacation home right now. When we have guests using the house we have the power supply on certain cameras which might invade their privacy plugged in too a power bar separate from the other cameras. When they arrive we tell them to simply turn the one power bar off so they can maintain there privacy but the rest of the property is still being covered. I now want to go with a nvr system with Poe cameras. Is there away I can have an easy switch for my guests to turn off just certain cameras and leave the rest of the cameras on? Can I use a Poe switch for some cameras and the rest plugged directly into the nvr?

    PTZ camera lost video

Hi I have a Swann 3425 analog series 8 camera dvr around 8 yrs old.One of my cameras is a PTZ Swann pro 752. The other day I was panning with it and I lost the video on it. I noticed that when I unplugged the power for camera at the dvr end and plugged it back in, the video would show up for a split second, so I kept unplugging and plugging it back in. One time the video stayed on but then I started panning and after 30 seconds I lost the video. I thought it might be the power source so I bought a new adapter 12v 2amp and the same thing happened video would come on for a milisecond. So I thought it might be the coaxial cable so I replaced it but still the same. Does anybody have any idea’s how to fix this?
