  1. Hi, Sorry in advance for the long post but here goes! I’ve just replaced a 16 channel QVIS(Dahua) NVR that had been in use since 2013 with a Dahua NVR 5216 16 channel machine. There are 15 cameras on the system consisting of 8 x 2MP QVIS outdoor bullets and 7 x 1.3MP and 2MP QVIS indoor eyeball dome type. Think all the cameras are Dahua clones. Problem number 1 is I cannot get any of the 2MP to display in widescreen, they definitely did before. I have gone into the camera encoding menu on the NVR many times and tried different bit rates etc. to no avail. QVIS technical could not help me with this. The resolution drop down menu just didn’t list 720p or 1080p options at all. Occasionally some of the indoor cameras they would go to 720p on the menu but did not stay on that resolution for long, in fact I could not get see the picture before they reverted back. Problem number 2 is that the indoor cameras are dropping out all of the time, one camera comes back and another disappears and so on. The Outdoor ones seem mostly stable but with just the no widescreen problem. Problem number 3 is that on the DMSS app the cameras are coming and going and taking a long time to load. The DMSS app has not been working well for a while now even with the old NVR. It used to ping up with all 15 cameras very quickly. Broadband up and down speeds are the same as they have always been at approx 50 down and 16 up. I just wondered if anyone could shed any light on these problems. Would like to get the existing cameras going properly if possible. If the customer needs more compatible cameras then so be it but hoping someone has overcome these problems and has a solution 🙏 Thanks
