    Help with I-view software

It's the 8 port which I recently purchased from you. I'm not sure what version the software is, i'll know better once I go into work on monday. Thanks for the heads up about the everyweek vs. everyday thing. I had it set to everyweek with the following days checked off however I guess that was the wrong thing to do. Right now I have it set up to everyday with no motion detection and i manually turn the cameras on and off.
  2. Hi I tried recording via a schedule and using motion detection. I noticed that the software motion detection doesn't work. The camera button remains blue instead of red meaning it wasn't detecting motion. Trying to record via schedule and using sequencing instead of motion recording yielded similar results. Is there a setting that i'm missing? Here are the steps i took 1. Record Via Schedule 2. Motion Recording 3. Everyweek (mon, tues, weds, thurs, friday, sat) 4. 07:00 - 19:00 (7am - 7pm) 5. Add motion gradient Thanks in advance.
  3. Are the IView cards called witness DVR? Or is Iview just the name of the software? What are the system requirements for your cards? Thanks.
  4. Hi everyone i'm new to the forum, and i'm really glad I found it. I'm currently in the process of researching possible setups to replace my parents old korean pc based dvr system. I have four cameras in place already with the option of putting in one more for a total of five. I need to be able to save atleast 31 days onto HDD and be able to back up to dvd-rw or cd-rw thereafter. here's my proposed setup. Keep in mind i'm not trying to break the bank with a ultimate dream setup. Just a modest one that functions well. Please let me know what you think. Asus P4P800-E Deluxe Motherboard ($109) Pentium 4 2.4 Ghz Prescott ($128) 1 GB PC2100 DDR Generic Ram ($67) Sony DWU18A DVD-RW ($50) 2 Maxtor SATA 200 GB HD ($105 x 2) Video Insight V60-8 DVR Card Geforce MX 440 8x 128MB AGP Card (Free) Antec Case (Free) Grand total a little over $1000. Can I do better? Prices for my components are from pricewatch.com
