  1. It's probably a software issue. Tempest dvrs are notorious for having issues. I would reload the 4.6.6 software. Or give up and use the mouse, works better anyway.

    tempest dvrs

I installed a few Tempest DVRs... They have NVidia video cards with s-video, vga, and newer units have digital output. They come with an s-video to bnc connector. (i don't like to use the s-video, vga is better) I personally like these units... Not a bad unit for the price. I have some small issues with Tempest, but their software has improved in the past year. As for demos, the IE interface is horrible. Interceptor client software is nice.
  3. 2 - I think it's only 30 fps per video card? 5 - You have to enter the correct ip address (66.159.200.137) 7 - I've also experienced this on the 8000 series, but it doesn't seem to be a problem on the 9000 series. Also on the 8000 series, when the s-video and vga are used together - the resolution only goes up to 800x600. 9000 will do 1024x768 RSS

    New DVR

I just installed a 12 channel 8000 tempest yesterday... Very stable. You can use ir remote, mouse, or keyboard. As per price, they are very inexpensive. I doubt you could build a better machine yourself for the price. I also have 2 - 16 channel 9000 series here which I'm using to replace bad Nuvicos 12 channel 8000 series contains: Semperon motherboard with nvidia video card. cd-r Capture cards are from Hauppauge, but I think are custom made for them. 16 channel 9000 contains: Hugh rack mount case 19" x 21" Intel P4 motherboard Nvidia video card cd-r raid capable Hauppauge cards Remote software is pretty good built-in web server and free remote server dynamic ip Upgrade, boot, shutdown from local or remote excellent motion detection

  9. Sorry, I need 2 DVRs - $2000 each RSS
  10. I've been using Nuvico DV series dvrs for quite some time and recently had a problem with a (2) 16 channel, 600gb dvr setup. My problem is severe lag time in motion recording (7 seconds to be exact) What I'm looking for is something to replace these units with: Excellent motion software good network software (2 dvrs, so multi is nice) of course good quality and compression. I'm trying to stay around $2000 Also, I will have (4) 300GB drives which would be nice to use Any help would be much appreciated. If you know of any demo sites please let me know. Thanks RSS
