  1. We generally use Axis cameras on campus however for one of our off site locations we want a less expensive alternative. I would like quality and not dirt cheap junk. We would like to find a go to for when Axis is not in the budget. Right now I need 4 interior domes for a records storage location. Low (poor light) to no light. IR would be great. They are covering exterior door/overhead door combos at a distance of about 20' - 30' and will be about 15'- 20' high. I would prefer Poe so I can just run my data line to the switch. H.264 is a must. They have to be Genetec compatable. I have had issues with some IQeye cameras and non H.264 cameras not playing nice with the Genetec. Any suggestions??

    Axis Q6035 ptz

I am using a high poe (60w) axis midspan for power. It's a Q6035-e. I installed it about 3 - 4 months ago and all has been great till 3 days ago. I pulled the camera yesterday and tried troubleshooting it in my (warmer) office. I tried 2 other poe midspans and the camera still does not work. I tried to reset to factory defaults and at most get a solid amber light on the camera. I think it's going back for warenty work.

    Axis Q6035 ptz

I have a new Axis Q6035 that I installed 4 months ago. Two days ago the monitor went black and the words "not enough power to camera" popped up. We have not seen this before. The camera has a Highpower 60w midspan installed in an enclosure outside next to the camera. The green lights are still active on the midspan. Could the midspan have gone bad? Could this cold weather (3 degrees F) today have damaged the Midspan? Any help would be great. Thank You

    Immervision Panamorph

I have a client that would like to add 4 panamorph IP cameras to their analog system. I would need a 4 channel DVR for this system. They will be using it to scan delivery trucks for damage as they enter and leave the facility. Any suggestions on the cameras or DVR?

    New guy question

Hi. I'm new here so this may have been asked. I am looking to build a portable cctc system that wil handle 1 - 3 cameras. It will need to me self contained (battery, cable, recording device and camera). It will be used for anything from trail/game camera to monitoring barns and houses for short periods of time. Don't know how to record images. needs to be cheap. needs to be motion/ir activated. I know their are trail timers out there that will do the job but at $300 each and less versatile. Would also like to be able to send wireless from field to house or barn?house to vacation home. Any ideas.
