  1. I am leaning on the guys who know again My front driveway camera is constantly set off by headlights I can mask the road no problem but the lights shine on my drive I have the same problem in the morning with the sun and shadows anyone any suggestions

This is a tricky one, because the headlights will light up pretty much of your camera view so that it is hard to adjust it. Can you add lights so that headlights will have no effect?

    JD

Thanks JD for the reply the headlight are not directly into the camera lens just the reflection on the drive I dont know if I flood that area with IR whether it would cure the problem

    John.

I cant do the same with the sun though I wish I could

  3. Dunno bout gremlins mite be user error or an ID10T error????

The problem never came back Soz it is my home system only 4 cameras at the moment! so I keep an eye on it so to speak I have now upgraded to 8.12 with the new card I ended up with a 1240 as the guy did me a good deal! there are a few more bells and whistles to play with it also as you know gives me a better FPS.

Have a Happy New Year and don't have too many D1g-It problems

  4. "Dunno bout gremlins mite be user error or an ID10T error????"

Thanks for that SOZ I think

I have been using v6.11 for several months this only happend when I upgraded to 7.05 and yes the area was marked for detection mode I have a GV-1480 on it's way so that will be another version to play with.

  5. Hi Z the Panasonic spec is very good also uses a switchable mechanical filter, I have looked at IR Illuminators and most over here are fairly narrow beam so I am thinking of building my own but I will have a look on the web. I need a minimum 3.5mm I would like to fit a 2.8mm so I will see who has a IR at 2.8 DC Varifocal as the camera I want to use in place of the Panasonic is a Sanyo VCC-4795P and suffers from similar problems but has a lot more grain under low light conditions! John.

  6. Hi thanks for the info the only problem is the street light is over the road and about 60m away! so if I flood the majority of the near content of the area are you saying the camera would compensate for the distant none IR illuminated areas headlight etc? If I use IR lighting I would need an IR lens? Thanks. John.

  7. I have a Panasonic WV-CP484E which monitors my front drive and works very well but suffers from flaring from a street light and headlights, when it's a bit foggy the problem is worse I am using a none IR lens is this the problem or is it me not having the camera settings correct? I am not using IR lighting. Thanks for any suggestions . John.

  8. I have just installed a GV-800 genuine used card using 7.05 with a dongle it all runs fine but I get a relay activating all the time at about a second interval can someone explain why? also can I get rid of the unwanted ports showing loss of video this wasnt a problem with my GV-650! I didnt get a users manual!

    Thanks, John.

  9. I plan to have the reciever about 20' off the ground and the transmitter about 14' what power output did you use? I know I wont need a lot I would rather have a 2watt running at 100mw OP power than a 100mw flat out as long as it is reliable 24/7! did you go for a cheap variety or the more expensive? John.

  10. I am a bit new to this so need a little help please, I have bought a Panasonic WV-CP484E it was bought without a lens so I bought a Computar Vari Focal TG2Z3524AFCS-2 to go on it. What I can’t get my head around is there is very low volts across pin 1 +ve and pin 4 –ve on the lens plug (with or without the lens connected), its less than a volt on the DC selected position so the iris is closed! If I set the camera to Video there is 12v and the iris opens fine am I doing something wrong? Thanks John.

Brain may be working now the difference is the A the TG2Z3514FCS-2 is a DC Auto-Iris w/Focus, No Amplifier.

    TG2Z3524AFCS-2 is a Video Auto-Iris w/Focus, w/Amplifier.

    Well I am learning
