Personally i think they are too big to use as a regular phone. It looks a good product though. If it is based on the xda11 it will give you good performance, my setut is a nokia 6230 for regular calls and the Dell for internet browsing. I have a seperate contract for the Dell which is data only, it allows me to connect to the internet at adsl speed and download 75 mb per month for around $30. I get 8fps on the Geovision
  3. Gonna look for my passport Wait though dont you have termites that eat camera's insted of just starting motion detection

Why not consider a Dell X50v, its state of the art at the moment. You can buy a compact flash gprs card that will give you ie access at adsl speeds and work as a phone with supplied software. I view can connect you through this method. I have my Nokia 6320 connected to a Geovision system using a gprs connection, this gives me jpeg images which can be refreshed, its not quite live video but with limits due to bandwidth etc its a great feature and best of all its free
  8. Well i'll eat most things but spiders and rats are def off the menu
  9. Thanks Rory Nice to be nice. Tell you what if the tird wurld has no health regs, i,ll skip lunch with you and just take the advice
  10. Im using geo mpeg4,the spiders are building webs over the cam so when the wind blows it is basically recording everything full on when it is dark. About 6 seconds of recording on 2 cams = 1meg x that by 3 then by the hours of darkness and it soon adds up. My playback log now looks like araknaphobia

    Problem with gv600 drivers

I had a similar problem, the manual tells you not to follow the hardware wizard and install from a specific place. Ignore that and let windows do the work for the drivers, hopefully it will work. Good luck

Doesn't matter who makes em, spiders love them
  15. Not a bad guess eh So the tv port only shows one channel even tho you have 8 camera inputs? Strange if it is , not much use to be honest

    ptz wiring

Is it possible to wire a ptz to a stand alone for control and then wire it also to a dvr card,2 systems with control? I have a few 10 core alarm cables already in place ,is this cable suitable?
  17. This one has it http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=48632&item=5739759604&rd=1 Strange, the cheaper the card seem to include tv out! Geovision take note
  18. I would assume the video out would mimic the screen,a $40 processor would give a split screen plus a few other options on its monitor output .

    modulators

Sounds about right. If you need to distriute between all tv´s you will have to fit the modulator into the main feed Bfore it feeds the amp,you can fit it anywhere to supply a single tv. Best to pick a channel which is 5 channels (each side) away from a signal as interference will play havoc with it. You can use a pass filter connected to the main aerial which will remove the weak signals which normally render modulators useless!

Are you trying to add a cctv channel onto the uhf band to view on tv sets?

    Weird digisite!

Gotta stop you have GOTTA STOP Geovision points at nvidia cards but ati work also,Kodicom favours ati. Most cards tend to run ok with intel cpu, amd has issues with a lot of cards probably due to the mobo running sis or via chipset.Intel seems to be the chipset on the mobo that cctv cards favour. koutsikos you dont point to anywhere for the download or am i missing something?
