    Which Manufacturer

Our school district opted for integrated access and intrusion back in 92 and went with Regency 4724. Now that they no longer have support and we don't want a difficult switchover, I have been evaluating the DSC 4020/4820 combination and for ease of retrofit as well as IP programming through the DLS 2002 software and it looks like the way we will be going (just a few more tests to go through on my benchtop) Dennis
  2. I'm currently evaluating Maxsys 4020 (with 4820) as a replacement for our aging Silent Knight Regency 4724 systems and it looks great for ease of retrofit in our buildings, however....... We use time windows for door control and while the system works well for this, we have always needed the added feature of being able to "toggle" the doors locked during an "unlock window" (IE: early dismissals) and to be able to "toggle" them unlocked during a "locked window" (IE: special events. Of course the system must always over-ride the door and lock if armed and the door must always be able to be access via card reader if locked. Any ideas people...........DSC says it can't be done with programming, but I figure there must be a combo of programming and/or hardware that will be an easy fix. PS....I am pretty much decided on this system (without Kantech) and just want ideas within the Maxsys realm Dennis
