I am looking to do something similar to the original poster for the thread and I am equally confused. I need to update my system from analog to ip but do not want to change out everything at once. Hi, Are the cheap IR illuminators on Amazon.com; made by clover, lorex, and others worth anything at all to use orr just a waste of money? $30-$50 range. I don't need long distance only supplimental.

I need the photocell for a Bosch/ extreme EX82 camera. I have had no response from Bosch other than to contact the seller and don't want to send it back to them without any idea, 1- if it will be repaired or 2- how much to unplug the old sensor and replace with a new one ( which I can do myself if I can get the part). Dealer is out of business. Does anyone have or can get me the part I need? gesualdo

Ok, Cool, If someone could tell me the right values to get to solder one in, or preferably can get the part from bosch (Authorized repair or dealer, even unauthorized) with the pigtail already attached, or has one around that would fit and can send it to me I would really appreciate it. Hi, Thanks for responding. I am not an installer but replacing a Bosch $1500 camera that is malfunctioning for a family member and don't have the funds to spend on that level again. I would have liked to go megapixel but not going to rewire or replace full system at this time. They have not had good luck with domes so want to go with bullets for location again. I agree domes do look better though. I am looking for the best resolution day/night wide-dynamic, variable focus camera I can find with 100 ft IR. I have read effio-p is good processing series that gives the most tweakability. I can go about half that price. Gesualdo

I am VERY open to lower prices and brand name products. Any recommendations would be be greatly appreciated. What have people been using with similar specs. PM if you do not want to post openly. Help Please. I need to replace a camera for now and the system later. Is it possible to convert a digital camera image to analog wire and recorder? If so what do I need? I have siamese rg59 to the camera so changing the power plug at the camera end can be done but changing the video stream is the problem. Is there a device to do this. Should I convert at the DVR end? Ok, Sounds like I'll have to update the works, which is going to have to wait awhile. I guess I now need a good non-IP bullet camera. I'm replacing an ex82 camera any suggestions?

Thank you again, I am looking to update the DVR also but not immediately if I can help it. Which is why I was asking for a solution. I figure I would loose most of the improvement until the DVR update. Would you be able to direct me to specific cameras for option 2 and 3 and Hybrid DVR's as I eventually update the whole system and trying to not run new cabling. Either openly or through PM Thanks. Thanks for responding and sorry for not getting back sooner. I need to replace a camera and wanted to update with a megapixel camera or hybrid? output camera. Everything I see is IP. I want/need to replace an Extreme EX82 camera and need some suggestions. I am looking for an IR bullet camera and would prefer a MP camera this time if possible. I have rg59 siamese wire installed and not change it. I have seen several cameras with 2 different outputs for different wiring types, not looking to go broke here but not cheap either, up to $600 range if neccessary. Next will be the DVR so suggestions there too. Hybrid? Thanks,

Help please. My ex82 camera is stuck in night mode. Its better that than day mode as I can see at night, but what do I do to fix it? Or suggest a replacement camera. Thanks, Gesualdo

Your thoughts please... New twist to the problem. It will switch on warm days above, say 50* and sun on it but below that it stays in whatever mode it is last in when the temp drops. Is the heater gone? or something else?

Hi, Can you give a little advice please? I have the Extreme EX-82 camera and after 4 yrs the photocell light sensor seems to be failing and not switching to night mode. At least not consistantly, it is switching later or not at all some nights, staying in color day camera mode. I have searched here and it seems to be a weak point for this model camera but no suggestions for repairs. Covering the sensor did not trigger it at dusk, per the trouble shooting guide. Took the back off the camera to adjust the sensitivity and the adjustment is so precise that less than the width of a hair will have it switch back and forth. So it seems it is working or am I wrong here? Can I get a new sensor and replace it myself or can I get the camera repaired in the NY area rather than send it back to Bosch? Ballpark figure I can expect for repair? Thanks

Yeah, thinking full dvr also. I like the small size of the actual cameras in the one as well. does not take up windshield space. Don't want to tempt cops with obstructed view ticket.

thanks, Since towns around here are looking for money I have been given 2 tickets for "rollin a stop sign" when "I did not wait long enough before turning" When I obviously did stop and speeding through a zone with a covered sign. Cost me $400 dollars and now I want the evidence in my favor if anything happens again. Also had a case where I was stopped at a light and a woman didn't make her turn and clipped my rear end and the guy behind me in the front and the guy behind me got the ticket because he had had alcohol in his system. She got away free even though both of us were stopped. and she hit us. I still don't understand that one fully. probably want the full coverage system. now that i'm looking do any of them also work( wake up) for events when the motors off as well as when the motors running for vandalism or parking lot events also. Wifes car had broken mirror in shopping center years ago. Know it was a green car by the paint left behind.

Extreme domes have the third gimble but you will lose some of the Ir Illuminators inside the casing. I have one mounted as you are trying to mount yours. I am sure many others are available to meet your specs as well.
