Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Ive used the h264 full D1 and NVR mini and absolutely no probs

    Regards,

    Dave

    Hi,

May I know your software version?

And did you start recording or any one of the network services? If yes, please disable them.

    Sincerely Yours,

    NUUO Tech Support

  2. Hot keys... Nuuo... anyone??

Windows has the built in Hotkeys API, very easy for the developer to add to any application:

I would suggest only adding it in as an option though, keep it simple (KISS), then allow then to turn on the additional features if they want it.

Declare Function RegisterHotKey Lib "user32" (ByVal hWnd As Long, ByVal id As Long, ByVal fsModifiers As Long, ByVal vk As Long) As Long
Declare Function UnregisterHotKey Lib "user32" (ByVal hWnd As Long, ByVal id As Long) As Long

    Hi Rory,

  3. Running Core 2 Quad with 5 Arecont 3130 cameras (not the H.264 version) and 5 Analog cameras.

    Dear 3RDIGLBL,

System hang may be caused by various reasons. I would like to know more details, such as

    What is main console's version?

    Video resolution

    Video quality

Is recording on? motion record or always record

    Is smart guard on?

Does lowering the number of cameras help? Down to which number of cameras can the system stop hanging? Or does it always hang there?

If you don't mind, you may send more details to service@nuuo.com and then we can make a deeper diagnosis for your system.

    Sincerely Yours,

  4. Hello, maybe you can help me also.

I have Nuoo Ip+ installed and cant connect via PDA client. The application hangs when i enter the ip address, port, username and password.

phone is MDA Vario 4 compact (HTC Touch Diamond?) with WM6.1

I have forwarded all the ports necessarry and succseeded to connect via IE from outside location.

    Thanks in advance.

    Dear Tleilaxu,

May I know if the hang happens after you have got the PDA client installed? Or does it happen before, too?

    Sincerely Yours,

  5. Has anyone been able to view a Nuuo hybrid system on a Blackbery Storm 9530? If so please provide instructions.

    Thanks

    Tom OSullivan

    Dear tosul,

Now you can see NUUO video on smart phones, PDAs, and the phones supporting RTSP streams.

For smartphones and PDAs, we have a special program designed to run on those devices. You may see live view and PTZ cameras.

For the phones supporting RTSP streams, so far, NUUO has tested the models listed on this page.

  6. Good evening Everyone-

Does anyone have experience\opinions on the QNAP VioStor (specifically the VS-5012 12-ch) NVR? Anyone know how it compares to the NUUO mini's or the like? Reading the specs it seems to offer a good deal more than the NUUO's but I've not used either. Thanks so much in advance.

    Dear ini,

Here I compare NUUO Nvrmini with VS-5012.

    1. NUUO supports about 400 cameras

    2. NUUO supports compression formats: h.264, mjpeg, mpeg4, mxpeg(mobotix)

    3. NUUO supports upnp.

    4. NUUO supports autodetection for cameras.

    5. NUUO offers GUI to change recording schedules

    6. NUUO supports video backup

    7. NUUO supports video export into AVI or ASF

    8. Video supports video enhancement.

    9. NUUO suppots PTZ-presets.

    10. NUUO supports automatic data backup

    11. NUUO nvrmini has reports of system info, hdd usage, disk status

    12. Support for NUUO CMS

    13. Support for POS

  7. Is it possible to remote view NUUO on WM6 yet? I use Verizon and the HTC TOUCH phone. Is there a universal viewer, Nuuo only has support for Windows CE, I was wondering if anyone has got this working somehow. There must be a work-around somehow on this. I need a RTSP software to stream or a way to use active-x on WM6. Any ideas?

    Dear chromeladyracing,

Most HTC devices are Windows Mobile system, while some are Android.

NUUO Main Console 3.2 supports WM6. From 3.2 on, NUUO offers client programs which can run on PDAs and Smartphones.

Would you mind telling us your mobile model and OS? So, we can give you the right viewer application.

    Sincerely Yours,

    Yung-chung Lin

  8. Dear Neil,

To propose a solution, we would need more specific information.

Here I make some assumptions for your case.

    8 cameras on one branch

All the cameras run in 1-megapixel resolution

Recording runs for 24 hours a day, 7 days in total

According to the calculation, you need one computer at one branch, and you install 8 cameras on one machine.

The frame rate is set to 20fps.

The minimum PC spec would be

Minimum CPU requirement: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550

    Minimum RAM requirement: 2GB

Total Size (GB, gigabytes): 5998.54 GB

Minimum bandwidth between the cameras and the NVR (Mbps, megabits per second): 81.25 Mbps

If you need more information, you may drop NUUO a mail.

The tech service's mail is service@nuuo.com

    Thanks

    Yung-chung Lin

  9. I have been alloted 10K at work to deploy an IP system. Initially the system will only have to support 4 cameras. But I was told to plan for the future of switching to IP cameras throughout our building. The intitial cameras will be at a remote location connected via our network. I'm really having a difficult time finding a DVR/NVR solution. Can someone offer some suggestions? Or even some requirements that I might have left out?

BTW...I have less than a month to have a plan!

    DVR / NVR - Requirements

-At least 32 Ch IP DVR/NVR

-DVR/NVR should allow for audio on at least two channels of audio

-DVR/NVR should allow for at least 1 month of storage before erasing.

    -Allow for remote viewing/control

-Allow for use of a hardware joystick for PTZ cameras

-DVR/NVR should be compatible with most IP cameras including PTZ

-Ability to burn recording onto a DVD

    DVR/NVR – Would Be Nice

    -Expandable external storage.

    -H.264 capable

    -Remote single camera viewing

    Hi thewireguys,

Please check NUUO's software features. You will find NUUO is the best for you.

  10. It's amazing that it supposedly runs on linux but doesn't support firefox.

    Dear TastyHuman,

Our NVRmini runs on Linux, but our live view and playback technology is based on ActiveX which requires IE. You still can configure the system using Firefox since the control panel is based on HTML + Ajax.

    Cheers,

    Yung-chung Lin

I would love to see your comments about bandwith "limitations"

    on Mini Nuuo

Is it true that unit cant handle full data rate of cameras

or what is Max bandwith unit can handle ?

Also what are the limits of the 8 and 16 channel versions?

NVRmini can handle full data rate of cameras. However, to balance the computating power and data I/O given nvrmini's spec, we limit the bandwidth that an nvrmini can handle to ensure the quality and the user experience.

NVRmini 2040 is capable of 20 Mpbs.

NVRmini 4080 is capable of 30 Mpbs.

NVRmini 4016 is capable of 22 Mpbs.

    Cheers,

    Yung-chung Lin

  12. Dear all,

NVRmini is linux-based, but it requires IE to see the live view and playback. That's why you see Windows in the flyers. Our live view and playback utilize ActiveX. Therefore, it's IE-only.

    Cheers,

    Yung-chung Lin

I have had two systems that used IE, a cisco router that worked with IE 5 and my current security panel that worked with IE 6. Subsequent releases of IE were not backwards compatible. I had to trash the router but at least the security panel still works with Firefox. ActiveX is evil.

    Dear TastyHuman,

We understand your point. The configuration panel still works with Firefox, and we also understand ActiveX can be troubling sometimes. We are constantly improving the software, and will keep you posted with any updates.

    Cheers,

    Yung-chung Lin

  13. I am curious price and availability, if it supports 16 IP channels it sounds like what I'm looking for.

Their literature is confusing though. For example, on the NUUO mini data sheet (on bluecherry) it says "linux based" and then continues to say " Windows 2000/ XP/ 2003/ Vista" and IE 6 or later required. What's that about? Will it work with firefox?

Does it have any sort of trigger output for interfacing to an alarm panel?

Is the NUUO software ZM based or completely different?

Is there an active forum anywhere where users discuss their NUUO experiences? I see it mentioned here from time to time but rarely does anyone discuss it from a customer standpoint.

Just getting me feet wet here so there's a lot of catching up to do.

    Thanks for the info.

I will confirm with my supplier that the unit is available and I will get you a price. The unit is Linux based. I will try and use it with Firefox but I know it works with IE.

Trigger ins/outs are on the IP cameras. You can use events to trigger outputs. Also this unit is setup for web based log in but you can use the client software to connect to multiple miniNVRS.

  14. yclin,

You seem to be the go-to guy for Nuuo stuff around here, so let me ask you a question if you don't mind.

Any plans to add more support for Panasonic's I-pro network cameras? I built and installed a residential SCB-5000-based Nuuo system for a couple just last week, and have an extra Panasonic WV-NF302 laying around that I would like to add to their system.

And even if it's not supported, is there a "generic" mode in the Nuuo IP software that I might be able to use to attempt to pull video from that camera?

    Dear Sawbones,

NUUO will integrate as many camera as possible, but so far NUUO has not received a formal inquiry about integrating this camera, WV-NF302.

And if you force to install it, NUUO probably won't be able to get the video.

If you have any inquiry for integrating cameras, you can always send NUUO an email and let NUUO know directly: service@nuuo.com.

    Hope this answers your question.

  15. I have a NUUO SCB-7004 PCI-Express Card (Full D1@30fps) on order and was curious if any of the older PCI cards (1000, 2000, 3000, 5000 series) are compatible with the new PCIe 7000 series D1 cards?

This is for a NUUO Hybrid server.

Right now I am going with 4x Analog (D1@30) and 4x IP/MP, but I may want to add more Analog later and wont need them full D1@30.

Are any other brands PCI/PCIe Cards compatible with the NUUO hybrid software?

    Hi JaysDomain,

NUUO 7000-series is mixable with 7000-series only.

And NUUO software doesn't work with other brands of cards.
