  1. Hello all, CCTV admin here. Over the past few months while working with HD 1080 or better setups I sometimes notice people going to check their cell phones and when they do there is a light that flashes a few times into the users face as the screen comes on. Its like they are taking a selfie but there is no visible flash when standing next to them. This is only viewable while in Night vision mode on the camera, there is no flashing in the NV off mode with same individuals/actions, so my question is why are phones using an infrared light to scan the user? Is this a facial unlock feature? Any ideas? Have I stumbled on a Big tech conspiracy? If I don't reply then I guess we have our answer!
