WDM Video Driver + Argus Driver [SOLVED]

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

I am using some non-brand DVR card that came with DSS1000. I have several issues, but the main issue right now is that it's not letting me load the software without it giving an ARGUS driver error. Here's the thing.. it USED to work! My PC crashed, and did a clean install (so same hardware and everything, just a new clean windows)

1) I installed DSS1000

2) I installed the Argus drivers (I tried from the CD, from the internet, countless different ways)

-> No matter what method I tried to install the drivers, it would always install 2x WDM Audio drivers and 2x WDM Video drivers

-> Audio drivers.. check / Video driver #1.. check /

-> Video driver #2.. Driver Not Properly Installed: Driver Cannot Start

I can only assume it's not starting because of that.

SO... Major Questions:

Q: What is causing this error to happen?

Q: What is the proper way to install the Argus/WDM Video Drivers?

Q: WHERE on the internet can I find a WDM Video driver link? All links are broken out of the hundreds of sites I've found

Minor 3rd Party Questions:

Q: On DSS1000, can you change the resolution to other than 1024x768?

Q: Is there a way to make DSS1000 windowed?

EDIT: **SOLVED (I don't know what I did to make it work)**

Okay -- Updates..

When I hook it up to another PC, works fine. I also noticed that it only asked for 1 WDM Audio and 1 WDM Video driver. On the PC I want it on (and the one it USED to work on), it for some reason installs FOUR drivers (2 audio, 2 video). It may even be clashing with another program/driver..
