Vostro200 PC & NV5000= bad mix?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I need to hear from any of you who might have a similar configurations as below;

Dell Vostro 200 series PC, 2GB ram, Asus 6200LE card, 500Gb HD, NV5000 card & 3 video ext. for the 16 camera system

The problem that I get BSOD when I unplug any USB input devices(keyboard, mouse, memory stick), same thing happens when I try to get a snapshot from NV7.3 by clicking the on-screen button. The recording and playback, networking, etc. are working fine. Avermedia thinks dell's oem mobo(Foxconn) might be the cause. Btw, It runs on XP Home edition.

Should I replace it with custom made PC using ASUS mobo? Please help.

Thanks in advance.

Your configuration is what I used for many of my customers. Never had a single problem. It may simply be a hardware or OS error.
