Swann 9 Channel DVR and Multiplexer

Recommended Posts

this is the manufacturer ..

It is multiplexed so yes, it will be a multiplexed (jumpy) recording.

Its 25pps / 9 = 2.7 ... pps per camera - Real Time is 30pps.

But its good for the price. If you want real time or close to real time, you will be spending much more $$ ... Its a low end product, good for those home or budget retail installs.

this is the one im using for those jobs, its not much more..

250GB brought the price up, but still thats a retail price. They bought it from Swan, who bought it from elsewhere and labeled it with their name. Hence all the markups.

Also, the higher end 9 or 10 channel DVRs retail for much more than that.

Well, I hooked one camera up for a test and with the 9 little boxes on, there is no hesitation or freezing. I guess when all cameras are hooked up that might be different? Thanks in advance.

FYI - I believe the one you found at Fry's is the non-networkable model, which is usually priced about $150-$200 less than the network models (like the AVC-776W that Rory linked).

Tryed there product and did not like it at all. First it was to expensive for the quality, and second not networkable.
