Password Recovery AVtech 4 channel DVR via Video Server E

Hi I checked out your FAQ section and done some searches but couldnt find any info on this.

 

My problem is i have a AVtech 4 channel DVR that was set up and working at a previous location, i have moved and am trying to set it up but forget the admin password for video server E. Is there any master password or way to reset this?

 

I am currently trying to get help through were it was purchased but am not getting any luck because they are not a speciallist. Does anyone else have any ideas?

 

Also if it helps its running in to our main server could this be a problem? We have pinged the IP address that it says its from (unsure of this tho as we do not have a moniter to get into the menu) and it times out.

You are not alone in these issues! This is why I have put as much effort as I can to be a value to the CCTV community in regards to AVTech.

I was not quite sure what you meant. I am not a network expert so I will defer to you.

 

Video Server E can be used to "find" the DVR if the network is setup properly. Use the Search Icon (eye glass icon) Let me know if the Video Server E can find it.

I am having same issue on video server e my default password admin / admin is not working while typing on the browser with ip address the video server e pops up but password comes incorrect so that means all my ip and gateway are fine checked the ip and gateway they all correct it was working fine it just started as i was putting an additional username as administration but now i can not seem to log on how do i reset the video server e to work as admin/ admin my current port is 80 also the video server e detects the ip address for the dvr but could not reset it because the admin admin stating as wrong password i saw on web that i need to do a hard reset by doing a jumper on Mother Board of the DVR or there is other way of logging in.
