however, you need to partition the first 300GB HDD, about 10GB-15GB purely for Windows, you then use the rest of the space + your other 300GB for video. If you store your video files on the same drive as windows, it'll screw your system up!

with the geovision system if i have two 300 gig HD's do i need to use a raid controller or will the geovision software write to both HD's?

 

This depends on how you want it to store the video. If you are looking for redundancy, ( same video to both drives simultaneously )you will need a RAID controller. If you are looking for continuous recording, moving on to the second drive once the first is full, than, those settings are in the General config area.
