HELP: ow may I add a AXIS213 IP camera to Geovision 8.3.2?

Recommended Posts

I've a GV-2008 with 6 existing Pelco PTZ cameras that works flawlessly, but can't seem to get a new AXIS-213 (supported IP camera) to connect and be controlled/displayed by my 8.3.2 server. The camera is on the same network and can be viewed/controlled by IE on the server. I'm able to add the camera but it stays in a "disconnected" state.

Any tips would be most appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Is the Axis 213 the only IP camera on your system? If so, you'll need to purchase a Geovision hybrid USB dongle to get it to be recognized by the Geovision system. The standard system will only allow you to configure Geovision IP's without it.

You can purchase them for any number of non-Geovision IP's. They can also be upgraded if you add more IP cameras in the future. Ask your distributor about it.

Yes it's the only camera so far. I was misinformed and thought that I was able to run a total of 8 hybrid cameras on my GV2008. This makes sense.

I just ordered a 55-NR002-000 to allow me to add two IP cameras to the system.

Thank you very much!
