Help! Kodicom 4.11 remote client

I have a DVR that remotes in locally OK, however when offsite cannot connect. Spoke with cable provider, linksys, & DVR dealer. All had me troubleshoot router settings for days with no luck. There must be a structured, step by step checklist????? Any direction or help is much appreciated.

I haven't gotten offsite networking to work yet either, but you'll need to set the DHCP setting just exactly perfectly right. The manual won't help you though.

First, ping the IP addy of the DVR from your computer. If it times out, your settings are wrong.
