Atom with Geo .. I wouldnt use it .. Geo 8.3 is very slow.

Its like using a celeron, Geo wont recommend it.

Slowest cheapest CPU I would use now is a Pentium Dual Core.

Well on my Pentium Dual Core, 8.3 seems to be nice and fast.

I have 2 gb memory, works fine, after booting, program it self up and running in 10 sec.

point is trying to use the small case with the mini mb with built in cpu etc,

its not really a dollar issue because I quote the good gear, but this one needs to fit in place of a standalone 4 ch av tech dvr

you can get one with a core 2 in that size, look at the Mac Mini for example.

But where is the DVR card going to go?

Just FYI

I have built several DVR's on that exact motherboard - Intel D510MO, with GV-800 PCI cards

They work PERFECTLY.

The software is not at all slow, in fact its very responsive and everything works exactly like you'd expect. No problems to report whatsoever.

Cheap, Cool, Quiet, Power Efficient.

Using anything more than the new Atom Dual Core is a waste of power, money, and size for this particular application.
