Geovision RS232 pinout

Recommended Posts

Hi everybody

I have two PTZ cameras and I can't control them anymore

My geovision cards are GV-1120 and GV-NET I/O

I looked inside RS232 connector and saw one wire default. I don't know if the problem was here or if it's a new problem when I opened the connector.

They was pin 2 and 3 connected so I supposed the third one was on pin 5 (ground) but it's always the same: no PTZ command.

I put an oscilloscope on RS485 but doesn't see anything too.

To verify if it was a PC configuration problem, I restored with "true image" my PC with a one year backup but it doesn't change.

Have you an idear so I can find where is the problem ?

Perhaps I can add this information: before, when RS232 connected and geovision shut down, PTZ cameras were going to anywhere (no signal-> random mode). I avoid this, I had to disconnect RS232 cable. But now cameras doesn't move (exept when powered on but with or without PC), even I keep the cable and shut down geovision.

Thanks for help and sorry for bad english.
