New Geovision Problem - Help........!

Recommended Posts

I haven't seen this particular problem addressed anywhere.

GV-800 with 16 cams hooked up.

Worked beautifully for about a year.

1. Now it is taking some cameras and duplicating them into two

positions on the screen at the same time.

2. Some (tested/working) cameras are showing as no signal

being received.

3. Some cameras have magically moved into appearing on other

camera positions. (They were not changed).

4. Since it thinks it has video loss on some of the cameras it

automatically reboots itself repeatedly.

Think it is a software or card issue?

Checked and card is still seated perfectly.

Suspecting the GV system has simply glitched and needs to

be reloaded, but wanted to get the opinion of you guys before

taking any drastic measures.

The DVR has been checked thoroughly and it is operating

perfectly other than the GV programs.

Any experienced ideas are appreciated.

Are the cameras that you are having problems located in each of the four quads as Geovision use a chip for each 4 cameras. Also have seen this problem if you upgrade software and not the card as older cards cannot be upgraded above Ver 6.05 without USB Dongle. Also using an older camera Dongle on a newer card can cause this problem.

Hi! I had this problem a few years back on two different systems.

1. Was due memeory/graphic card issue.

2. Was a faulty GV card that needed to be replaced.
