AVTECH AVC798AD OR Ebay Elite DVR

Hi everyone. I currently have a Lorex 20" system and the dvr recording at D1 sucks. So it's time to get something better. Which one should I get?

I want to get a 16ch dvr, please help me choose a good one and hopefully it is under $1000.
