DVR with 2 NV6480 Cards Freezes Constantly

Recommended Posts

all,

The following are the specs:

Dell Optiplex 980 (New)

intel Core2 duo 2.93 Ghz

Intel Q47 Express chipset

2 gig Memory

Nvidia NVS 280 PCI video card

Windows XP SP3

All drivers are current and up to date.

DVR Software 7.5.0.0017

The problem is when the cam system is up and capturing video the system will freeze and blue screen.

I guess the question is: Is the PC robust enough to handle the 2 NV 6480 cards?

Thanks in advance,

Steven G.

Tom,

Thanks for the reply. I am running XP SP3 on the PC. (No Vista Basic)

Looking at the specs from Avermedia, it was said that the a video card with 128 MB of Memory. The card I am using only has 64 MB, Would that pose any real issues? (The Nvidia card that is currently in the PC replaced one that was 128 MB and the system was still freezing up)

Thanks again!

Steven G.
