Newbie needs hgelp selecting 1st ever system

I am looking for any suggestions on an 8-16ch dvr system with 4-16 cameras included in the package. Most if not all viewing will be via iPad. Wiring is not an issue. Any suggestion that meet these criteria nd are under 1k is greatly appreciated.
