AVC796B Harware reset procedure

Recommended Posts

I need to reset the DVR to the factory defult configuratiion.

Anyone knows the right hardware procedure to recovery the original firmware ?

Thanks

hi. if you have tried to update your firmware with a none compatable version. then you have no way of getting your unit back to its original firmware. am 90% shure you need to send your unit to a avtech distributor or see if they will send you a copy.

you could try this firmware (only use your model number) but i do think your unit does need to go back for software.

Ciao Andrea,

Il tuo modello e' AVC796B?

I send you the last version of firmware and the instruction for the manual

reset, probably Tomcctv is right, if you tried to upgrade the wrong version

or you did some mistake in the upgrade it's possible you need to send the

dvr to AVTECH for repairing.

Can you tell me what do you see when you turn on the dvr? Any beep, and

strange colors on the screen?

Firmware:

ftp://211.75.84.102/Firmware/AVC796B_1007.rar

Manual reset:

Remember to:

-unzip files to one usb drive (don't put in any folder)

-insert the usb in the usb port of dvr

-connect the 2 points (like in the instructions)

-turn on dvr

-when you listen the bip, remove the items to connect the 2 points.

do this operation up to 5 times, if it's not working, need to send for

repairing.

Finally it worked. The USB Stick must be fresh formatted in FAT32 and the Files must be in Root.

The Stick ( i used a Kingston 4GB Mini Stick) must be plugged in, before you Power on. I tried many Hardresets before it started to reflash. No it works again.
