IR Illuminator doubt

Hi One of the guys is using IR Illuminator of Dedicated Micros and the camera ( Bosch ), He is getting good results in Indoor but not outdoor, could you please tell us the reason for it.

IR not strong enough. short distance.

Not enough reflective objects within the IR range.

The customer says that at night there will be a moonlight, so why not give better results in Outdoor environment while using IR Illuminators ? Is it true, I dont think that there will always be moonlight

Nope, the cycle of the moon will determine that. If its a full moon, then that's a good bit of light for a good camera to work off of. But if the moon is just a sliver, then your out of luck!

Thanks Adam,so what do I suggest the customer, if he wants to use the IR Illuminator in Outdoor Environments to have a better result??
