Q-see QSM5265C bullet innards

Glass was a little foggy on this one (probably due to outgassing), so took it apart to clean it. Whatever you do, do not use a qtip for the part of the case that the lens looks through.

 

Something in that little ring tears off the fibers, which are then next to impossible to remove.

 

Anyway, not much in there (especially for a TDN). Lens looks like it would be easy enough to swap out. A small packet of silica was in the back part of the case.

I guess it's in the black plastic bit. You can see it looking frame by frame when it switches.

 

Wow I did not even realize it was cmos, somehow it does as well or better at night than a lot of ccd types I have around here at night (with the exception of those cnb's you used to be so fond of).
