I am currently quoting on a system in a large manufacturing plant.

They currently have over 150 cameras installed. I am going to install a cabinet with a 16 channel dvr to begin and add key cameras to the system. Then we are going to add more and more until most of the cameras are all connected up.

We are going to use fiber to bring the signals back to the system. This is because there are a lot of runs already in and it is there preferred type of cable.

My question is if any of you guys have any experience of using rackmounted fiber gear which would allow me to easily convert the fiber into bnc's to go into the dvr.

Fiber options is good gear, be carefull which type of fibre you get, if you wanted to you could go for a 30ch Bosch DVR it also has 32 I.P. inputs, so then you could convert standard cams to I.P. traffic and could have 62 Cameras in one box!

when quoting fibre you can have an extenal can or a internal (in housing) design.
