Strange Behavior or Configuration Issue with Qvis DVRs

Hello,

 

We have 4 Qvis DVRs (which are sooo much better than the Swann's that we had)...one issue that has popped up lately...we are getting a notification in PSS that the Hard Drive is full, and the red LED light is illuminated on the physical unit. All the devices are configured in nearly the same manner, and all of them are doing this.

 

We have overwrite enabled so I'm unsure why this is occuring...thoughts?

Yes that is correct, its because the hard drive IS full. Even though your hard drive is in overwrite, it is still full. Its just in a constant state of fullness. Constantly out with the old and in with the new and is maintaning a constant state of "fullness". If you want to dissable the PSS notification, go into your DVR's Menu>Advanced>Abnormality>Select Disk Full>Uncheck enable

Yup, mine has a HDD light red as well (full 1TB drive), and recording just fine.

disable the alarm information popup in PSS

Also you can disable the disk full error messages in abnormality on the DVR but unless you use firmware 2.608 it will still show in PSS. 2.608 fixes that bug.
