Wils 0 Posted June 21, 2012 Hi Can someone please help me out as I am new to this CCTV lark. I think Iv done ok up to this part and now I'm not sure whats going on. I have a AVTECH KPD675 DVR unit and 3 cameras. Its fully installed and working fine, its also configured for remote viewing through my IP. Thats Fine The problem is when I run the videoviewer, I can also see live image through this software but What I don’t understand is how to view previously recorded material over the internet with videoviewer. Its Version 0.4.6.3 (1) and I’m on a Mac ver 10.6.8 What happens is at the bottom of the videoviewer interface there are 3 icons marked as settings, channels & filter. In the setting tab I can enter a any date to remotely view that previously recored material but when I press the download tab in the software the screen blinks but all I get is a black screen instead of a seeing playback. If I do this 4 times to 4 previously recorded clips and try to download another I get a message saying I have reached my limitation ie there are 4 videos already playing, but in reality I have got 4 black screens instead of video playback. oh In the left corner I can see a green drop down menu for audio but cannot hear anything. Can someone tell me whats going on and why pleaase? Many thanks
tomcctv 190 Posted June 21, 2012 hi wils. this may work for you. change your screen resolution lower then log back into your dvr and see if it plays your footage.
Wils 0 Posted June 21, 2012 Hi Tomcctv The DVR plays fine at high image resolution thats when I'm next to DVR. I can see payback all recorded images and I have full control. Its when I'm away and try to view previously recorded images with videoviewer is where the problem is.

Wils 0 Posted June 21, 2012 Hi Tomcctv Ok I just tried but I cannot set it to anything other than H.264 At first I get these options MPG player, JPG Player, and H.264 As soon it recognises its a DVR it changes back to H.264 format and the other formats hide and cannot be selected. I suppose H.264 is the default
