NVR and DVR,which one I shoule choose?

hi there,I wanna install a new security system in my department, i searched many information on the internet and found now many people are using NVR instead of DVR,which one is better?what's the difference between them?can u guys give me some advice?

If you wanna high definition video then NVR , for standard PAL/NTSC go for DVR.

 

Look also at Hybride recorders : they can use lets say 5 cheap NTSC cameras and 2 High deginition Megapixel at same time.

NVR means network video recorder, for wireless installation. as for DVR, now SVR(standalone DVR) is common used, D1 resolution, record playback. both have its advantages. But if used in office or buildings, DVR is better.
