High Power ZyXEL Managed Switch work with my cameras?

Recommended Posts

I bought a ZyXEL 8-Port Layer 2 Managed Gigabit PoE Switch (GS2200-8HP) that has four ports with 180 W of total budget power to port 1-4 with 30W each and to 5-8 with 15.4W each. My question is whether I can use the high power ports for any of the cameras and can I use the IR cameras on the 15.4W ports if I use a PoE splitter. I don't know much about electrical specifications - the issue is how to use the DVR, managed PoE switch, analog cameras, network cameras and come up with some kind of system that will work on a wooded lot to detect trespassers and vandals.

Will a 12V PoE Splitter work with the ports on the ZyXEL switch to power analog and network cameras?

These are the cameras:

1. IR bullet cameras (4) can use:

a. 12V DC

b. 24V AC (±10%)

c. With max current of 850mA (LED on)

2. Dahua ¼” IP 2MP cameras (3) can use:

a. 12V DC

b. 24V AC

c. PoE

d. Power consumption is 10W

3. Dahua 1.3MP IP PTZ Dome Camera (1)

- PTZ-HD6980

- Can use 24V AC/3A ±10%

- Power consumption: 12W or 30W (with IR on)

My DVR is a Dahua hybrid:

Any help in connecting these parts would be appreciated. I seriously do not want to burn anything using the wrong power or port. Thank you in advance.
