Yes there is a power indicator and also I believe channel indicators, they're not really LED lights but more like a back lit panel. Also there is an audible beep when the system is turned on or restarted. Why do you ask? If the light bothers you a little black electrical tape would remedy the situation - I've had to do this to the cable box and TV in the bedroom as the light was bothersome to my wife, and well you know, happy wife, happy life.
