lost quality

Recommended Posts

good day everyone, have a little problem and hope someone on this site can help me. had the camera im61 from wi8 dotcom for about a year and never had issues, last week the quality dropped and the color is not there anymore. the warranty is out, and reseting does not do anything.

any help appreciated, thanks

I see this being one of two things:

1. It's a contrast issue and can be adjusted if your camera has an OSD

2. What's more than likely the issue is damaged caused by sunlight. Direct exposure over time will burn the CCD/image sensor. If that's the case, there is no fix for it other than replacing the component which doesn't sound like it'll be a possibility.

looks like the IR cut filter is stuck. How does the picture look at night?

I agree, I've seen that before where the IR cut filter loses grip of it's pin and just stays out even during daylight which is when the IR cut filter is required hense the loss of colour. How is the night time image?

answers

Bad

Normal.
