Gemazarus 0 Posted June 16, 2014 Hi to all, I am looking for some help. My Dad bought a crappy H264 system from Amazon. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00EYRGD6A/ I'm having some trouble setting it all up. I have managed to get a feed from the system to his home network. I'm struggling trying to get a signal from outside the network. I have assigned the DVR an IP of 192.168.0.4, and forwarded ports 34567 (media) and 34568 (mobile) to it, as well as a HTTP 80. 192.168.0.4 is also temporarily in the routers DMZ. For some reason though, although I have opened the ports on my Router (Virgin Super Hub) port testing software says they are closed. Could this be an issue with the DVR not responding on those ports? Everything matches in the router settings and the DVR so this is very confusing to me. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
rebel998 1 Posted September 16, 2014 And you have either a static IP or DDNS running?
ssnapier 0 Posted September 16, 2014 You opened the ports and directed them to 192.168.0.4? Someone recently posted issues with low end routers taking their sweet time applying those settings. Try rebooting the router and make sure your changes actually stuck.
