IP Camera to transmitter receiver setup

I am looking to set up a system that will allow me to connect a IP camera to a transmitter. From here i want to be able to connect the receiver to a PC or TV.

 

Question: Can anyone tell me the setup needed to connect a IP camera to the receiver ? can you connect the IP camera to the transmitter via ethernet cables ?? If anyone has a picture or a description of how to set this up it would be great.

Transmitter for IP camera = Access Point

 

Receiver for IP camera = Router

 

Just like you'd configure anything else on the network, your access point needs to be configured to send data coming from the camera back to the router/network.

 

As far as hooking it up to your television set or computer monitor is concerned, I think a mini-NVR is probably your easiest/best/cheapest option of making that possible. I don't have a lot of experience with these, but there are big threads on this forum discussing them that should give you all the info you need.
