PC Spec: HARDDISC: 2 * 500GB Maxtor DiamondMax 11 MOTHERBOARD: MSI 945P Platinum PROCESSOR: 3.2GHz Intel Pentium 4 640 DVD CD RW DRIVE: LiteOn 52x 32x 52x 16x Beige (RTL GRAPHICS CARD: 256MB GeCube Radeon X1600XT DDR3 RAM Geil® Value DDR2 1GB PC4300 533MHz (4-4-4-12) with Aluminium Heat Spreader CASE Antec TX1050B KEYBOARD Gyration: Ultra Pro Keyboard and Mouse DVR CARD: GEOVISION 1280 8 CAM COOLING CPU: Zalman CNPS9500-LED Socket 478/754/775/939/940 CASE FAN: 2 *Akasa 9cm Ultra Quiet Any recommendations? 200mph 0 Posted February 16, 2006 Hi All (Newbie) GRAPHICS CARD: 256MB GeCube Radeon X1600XT DDR3 Dal My 1240x16 geovision runs great on 3 systems with Nvidia 4800-5900 cards. It will not run in DSP mode with my Radeon X1300 Pro running on a Pentium D 930(dual core). Without DSP overlay the image will be all jagged, blocky and interlaced looking. I would make sure geovsion supports the X1600XT in DSP overlay mode as your using the same drivers as the x1300. Otherwise the image will look like crap. The DSP is an RCA output on the 1240 cards that allow you to connect to an external CCTV monitor or TV. Gives you better quality display and allows you to display only the security cameras without the software showing up on the screen like you see on the DVR screen. Lost in Translation maybe I think you were talking about the RCA output jack. My original post in this thread was about DSP overlay. It's mostly software based digital signal processing but the geovision software calls on the graphic card to handle certain functions and process the data and needs a compatible graphics card to work. The nvidia cards work fine. The older radeon cards work fine but some of the higher end X1300 to X1900 cards are having problems.
