CCTV system help

Hi

Need some help before I purchase the wrong system for my home.

 

Am after a cctv system, am on a very tight budget, around the £100 mark (dont laugh) I already have a spare sata 750gb hard drive that i'm going to use in the dvr.

 

What i am looking for is a dome camera cctv system, going to need 4 ir cameras, ideally want them to record in colour in the day and black & white at night.

All 4 of the cameras would be outside although 3 of the cameras would be under cover.

 

Also want to be able to see the 4 cameras footage in multiplex on my tv.

 

Want motion sensing so the cameras do not record all day for nothing but only when they sense movement, also i want to receive an email to my iphone so i can see video of the footage.

Would be great also to be able to see a live feed on my tv as well as iphone.

Do i have to go with the app they say to use on my iphone or can i go with others?

I will be buying video baluns so i can use cat5 cable as i a reel of it in the garage.

What is the purpose of the cameras?

If you intend to use the cameras to be able to identify people, than a cheap system like this simply will not do. If you already have CAT5, you are much better off getting an IP camera. Most Dahuas and Hikvisions come with software that can run on your computer for up to 2 cameras. I can say from personal experience that these cheap systems do not do much good, I have one myself. It was only after installing it I realized that they were not going to cut it. I say start with one IP cam, and save until you can get more IP cams and an NVR.

Well, I don't think those cameras are waterproof, so mounting it outside would not be very nice for the cameras. But if you really cannot increase your budget, I think you are better off with Zmodo (shipped from Germany) and a bit of support on the internet... You can buy Zmodo™ 8CH 960H DVR Kit 4 600TVL Outdoor Dome Home Security Camera CCTV System for 100 pound on ebay. Well depending on the purpose (observe (analog?) (detail not important) or identify(IP camera)), its a better choice to invest in an IP system.
