Residential IP or HD-CVI sys with great iphone app w/ thumb

Recommended Posts

Does this exist?

I've been searching for a decent camera system that my residential customer can monitor with their iPad and Mac computer.

It's a simple system - probably 3 outdoor cameras with an HD-CVI DVR or NVR.

I was hoping to find something like DropCam or Logitech's intuitive interfaces. These are great in my opinion for residential use, but as we know Dropcam doesn't make an outdoor cam and Logitech has been discontinued.

The cameras have to be able to record audio as well.

I might be able to go as high as 2K on the budget.

Any gems out there that have escaped the "Chinese software writing syndrome"?

Thanks in advance!

Dropcam should never be considered, ever...they charge 300 per year for the first cam then 150 for each additional camera in perpetuity for 30 days of storage..and you cannot live monitor without gobbing op bandwidth...

The hikvision and dahua mobile apps work well. With the budget you have you can run milestone or exacq on a small pc as well...
