Web Service 2.0 Files Not Downloading

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

I've searched around quite a bit on Google and just through these forums hoping to find a solution to an issue I'm having.

A few users who access our CCTV via Internet Explorer have had issues downloading the video files. As I mentioned in the title it's Web Service 2.0 DVR and the system shows the following information in About

Webrec Control Version 2.1.7.45

NETSDK Version 3.3.8.5983

PLAYSDK Version 3.32.0.5442

So here is exactly what's happening, when the user goes in and searches for video, they select it and choose download. By all appearances the file is being downloaded to the computer (Tried in both Documents and Desktop). When it says it's completed though, the files don't exist. I've done a full search of the computer multiple times and they just aren't there, but then if I go back to the web platform and select "Open File" from the search screen, the files are sitting there, I can open and run them in the web interface, but I can't do anything else to them on the computer (copy/paste, rename, etc).

There are at least 3 computers having this issue, and 2 more we know for sure are working. All of them are Windows 7 and they've got the exact same versions of Internet Explorer 10 along with the same version information for Web Service. I've checked all of the internet explorer settings that I thought could effect this (active x, file download, etc), and they're all fine. The only difference I'm seeing is the users who can download and access the files have extra fields when searching for Main Stream and Extra Stream, which are required for them, but not for the users who don't have it.

If anyone out there has any tips or ideas of things I could try I'd really appreciate it, this has been going on for quite a while now, and the few people who can access it, have had to keep downloading and sending the files to the others.
