Hikvision iVMS-4500; Error Code: 152

Recommended Posts

Recently I’ve purchased 2 Hikvision DS-2CD2532F cameras. I’m really happy with them!

I configured cameras and my router and can access them via internet using the Hikvisions DDNS system.

I have installed the desktop client as well (iVMS-4200) and can access and control cameras over my LAN.

Everything is working great and overall I’m very happy with the quality of the hardware and software.

Right now 2 cameras are working with no NVR. I have ordered Qnap ts-253-pro which I’m planning to use as NVR and my NAS.

My router is Asus AC68U and cameras are connected to it via Dlink 8 port POE switch.

Never an issue connecting to cameras over the web browser whether on LAN or on internet. No issues with iVMS-4200 either and I do get email alarm notification with 3 pictures attached.

My problem is that one of the cameras (Cam2) I can’t access 90% of the time using iVMS-4500 app on my android smartphone. The app says “Starting live view…” followed by “Error code: 152”.

This only happens on one camera and that is the camera which I have mapped different WAN ports than the ones that are set up on the camera. Note that local ports have been left as default and for Cam1 I have forwarded those default ports without any changes.

Here are my port forwarding settings from my Asus router:

Cam1:

192.168.1.61, local port 80, WAN port 80, protocol: UDP & TCP

192.168.1.61, local port 554, WAN port 554, protocol: UDP & TCP

192.168.1.61, local port 8000, WAN port 8000, protocol: UDP & TCP

192.168.1.61, local port 443, WAN port 443, protocol: UDP & TCP

Cam2:

192.168.1.62, local port 80, WAN port 8008, protocol: UDP & TCP

192.168.1.62, local port 554, WAN port 8002, protocol: UDP & TCP

192.168.1.62, local port 8000, WAN port 8001, protocol: UDP & TCP

192.168.1.62, local port 443, WAN port 8003, protocol: UDP & TCP

What does error 152 mean?

Does anyone have any experience with this kind of setup and can provide guidance on what can be done to fix it?

Did you ever resolve the error 152?

How is the TS-253 pro working for you?
