Port 80

Recommended Posts

hi,

I bought a DVR from Amazon. A guy from DVR company taught me to use port 80 for DVR.

so I port forward port 80 > 192.168.1.11 port 80

I bought a IP CAM last year. I use port 8001 for it > 192.168.1.30 port 8001.

so far no problem.

I bought 2nd IP CAM from same company yesterday. I use port 8002 for it > 192.168.31 port 8002.

but the CAM default port 80.

I can't view two CAMs from their software. A girl from the CAM company said it needs to use port 80 for both CAMs.

I know port 80 function. However, how can I port forward 80 for all DVR and CAMs?? My router is Netgear WNDR3800, I only can use port for one ip address.

Can you help, PLEASE!

Hi.

Your car has a key to open it.... Your front door has a key to open

Using port 80 is giving away your key to your network ... Not just your dvr but your PC. You never use 80 or 8000

Your new cameras and with info from supplier it sounds as if your new cameras are P2P and from China is bad.

If you can't use new cameras with another port then send them back

Cameras were cheap but now with lots of cheap P2P China cameras you are giving away your privacy

Hi Friend,

I think you have bought bullet camera or similar model, not wifi p2p camera.

Because, if wifi p2p camera, you don't need to set any IP address for it, it would automatic gain the IP.

Now you are using the cable line to connect the cameras right?

I think you could check whether the IP you set for the camera is the same as it shown in your router and NVR.

And the DHCP and DNS.

If those are the same of your first camera, then your router would only accept one camera to connect the Ethernet.

Then you need to alter it.

Hope this could help you.

If not, you could try another new camera.

If you meet the same problem, it must be the problem of your router. It have limited the new IP using.

Thanks

Best Regard,

Minson
