Siamese cable signal clarity

Recommended Posts

When using siamese cable; can the power conductors interfere with the clarity of video signal through induction or other means because it is run closely and in parallel to the video signal.

Also is plenum rated siames cable always used for residential and professional installations when run in free air.

Thanks in advance for any help.

no on interferance.........

plenum is fire retardant and used per code in area that may "burn". the plenum outer coating does not produce poisenious gas when burned. always used............check the building codes..................

Thanks for the info VST_Man. I was hesitant to purchase saimese cable until I was confident it was not inferior to seperately run cables.

Understanding the cable should be plenium rated RG59U with copper braiding and 18/2 power conductors is there anything else I should be concerned with regarding outer jacket or quality of cable; before I purchase 1000 foot rolls and BNC connectors.

Thanks again for you help.
