Introduction and advice needed about qualifications in uk

Hello everyone. 

I need some advice. I have been involved with sales, technical support, site commisioning and planning in cctv and intruder alarms for 11 years. But i have no formal qualifications.

I want to move to the uk. Do any uk based members know if there are any online qualifications that actually hold any weight?

Hi. Installing commissioning or design requires nothing 

being a cctv operator does require a licence just as collecting footage also does

 

also some install companies require you to have a police background check but this is only required if working in or around government locations

Thanks for the reply. Im in South Africa.

I was wondering if there are any qualifications or certifications that are well regarded but it doesn't seem like it. So im trying to make some friends in the industry online.

I assume by your posts you are in the uk?
