Newbie help on dvr choice

Hi,

 

looking to get a basic dvr and its between two systems:

 

Avermedia 4 ch dvr with 160 HDD model eb1304

 

and a silverline DVR 33 250HDD

 

 

All i require is a simple driveway monitor system, but want to vieww pictures on my pc monitor ....question is, the silverline is a bnc output whersa the avermedia has a vga so would be easier to hook up to monitor.........but if the silverline is better what extra kit would i need to convert the bnc output to vga monitor?

 

Also, any views on either system appreciated.

I have many customers that use the EB1304NET and have had no problems to this day with the systems

Check and see that the Avermedia is both TV out and VGA out. I just have never got real good results from using the VGA out. Just the whole playback looks better on TV out. Just my personal opinion. Maybe it was the monitor my customer had? I personally would go with the Avermedia, but make sure you check the Avermedia website for recommended hard drives.
