Gv-1240 vs Gv-2008

I am in need of 8 channel 240fps. which one is better? running dell computer with 750gb drive and 1gb memory. I dont know anything about hardware compression, what does that mean, and if is better than y so?

GV2008 is better in terms of CPU utilization (MPEG chipsets onboard), picture quality and video smoothness. It grabs 400 fps per channel in D1 resolution. GV1240 grabs only 100 fps in D1 resolution (200 fps in CIF).

 

GV1240 is better in terms of HDD space being used, but you can setup GV2008 to work exactly the same as GV1240, so basically... if you have money, buy GV2008.
