help- avtech (avc760) login problem

Recommended Posts

hi all. i recently bought an avtech avc760 dvr. the software i got with the system is cd1-cd manual v2.1 and cd2- pcd 732e driver. when the driver is installed it asks for my login name and password, which i then enter according to the defaults listed in the manual but it keeps on stating that login failed because of inncorrect password. i phoned the distrubutor and he confirmed that it is the correct password and login name but he can not confirm if it is the correct ap software or not. how can i reset my login name and password as i can not access my footage and need it urgently for enquiries. where can i confirm if it is the correct software that was supposed to be suplied with the system. it is a brand new system and the passwords or login names were not changed.

Driver?

Are you using "video server E" as a client with the username/password admin/admin pointed at the IP you set for the DVR, and on the same network?

AVC 760? It should have come with Video Server E.

What IP address was entered in to the DVR?

What IP address are you entering in to the application software (Video Server E)?

Feel free to change the numbers around to protect your privacy.

I wanted to see if the DVR was at default settings, and you were entering a different IP address in the server E.

If you are using a router, then the it may be giveing you some kind of "grief".

What kind of router do you have?

If all else fails you could do a hardware reset on the DVR that will take it back to factory default settings.
