I am a member of several forums and one of them seems to use this engine, but one thing they do that I like is that they email you if you are linked to the thread but include the latest message in the email so you know what was last said, I find this very handy and better than having to log in to look.

Dear cctv_down_under,

Thanks for the info CCTV_down_under.

I will get back to you on the exact models of the DVR's, but I guess the Everfocus was software compression - it was a stand alone.

The Tibet is probably also software compression too as it had 3 different comopression formats (CIF, HalfD1, D1).

Andrew

There may be other replies also, but you will not receive any more notifications until you visit the forum again.

It is easier to know what has been posted and by whom

Would be nice to have that, but it would also mean less visits to the forum, which would drop the stats for the forum, which could possibly reduce its ad revenue.... Or so I would guess.

See what you mean, that would be more convenient.

Ken may have a point about advertising but you obviously have plenty of opportunity to see what is on offer.

Perhaps you deserve the special privilege, considering the contribution you have made here, I can't think why anyone would object.
